List a new idea or concept (not just a "fact") you've learned about your game topic since you started this course.

Weekly Blog 10-12 to 10-15
Should you respond or talk to people you do not know, on line, outside the Globaloria Community?
No, talking to other people on the web that you don't know could be dangerous if you tell them specific information about yourself.
Can you be sure the person you are talking to has actually represented themselves accurately?
In most cases, no. Many people on the internet lie about their age, location, etc. You can never be entirely sure they are who they say they are unless you have special access to certain programs.
Why do we ask you to hide your personal information?
To keep the students safe from predators and people with bad intentions. There could be many things people will do for no reason.
Why must you never give your Social Security Number or bank account number to anyone online?
With that information, they can most likely access your bank accounts and steal all your money.

WHO are you designing your game for? (Include the player's age, abilities, and prior knowledge of your topic.)
My game will be for kids around the age of 10 years or older, no specific abilities, and basic to medium level knowledge.
WHAT will your game teach the player about your topic? (Be specific!)
It will teach the player about basic facts of the internet and other electronic devices.
WHERE does your game happen?
In the internet (Cyberspace).
Describe the world you will design for your game.
The world will be of similar appearance to the world of Tron. Very futuristic and technology based.
How will this setting add to the learning experience?
It will give players a feel like they're looking into the world of cyberspace to feel closer to the character.
HOW does your game world teach the player about your topic?
The world will be filled with obstacles that they have to use information to overcome them and reach the real world.
What happens in the world that helps the player learn?
The character is sucked into cyberspace and has to use information to help him get home.
How does the player use what they learned to make something happen in the game?
They will use this information to defeat enemy viruses and get past obstacles.
WHY is a game a better way of understanding your topic than a quiz?
A game is better because the player will be more interested in whats going on and may want to play the game several times if he or she likes it enough.

Weekly Blog 10-01-10
I would like to create a game based on the a man walking through the internet in search of information. The genre would be action because it has alot of potential to be educational. The educational value of my game would be finding different facts about the internet or micellanious things that may be interesting to other people.
